Cameron's Two Months Old

What is the deal where did the last two months go? Cameron was two months old yesterday on the 27th. I took him to the Doctors today for his check up and here are the stats

Cameron Ray Matthews at two months is

14 pounds 6 oz (98% for weight)

25.25 inches long (off the charts for height)

So he says that is is the size of your average 4 month old. CRAZY!!!

Cameron has very dry and sensitive skin especially on his face so he told me some stuff to do for that as well as his cradle cap. He is sending us for an ultrasound because when he was checking Cameron's legs he found that his left hip has a pop in it. You can hear and feel it and he said that we need to make sure that it doesn't keep popping out of place like it is doing. He said that because we caught it so early that most likely he will have to ware a brace for a couple of months but we won't be sure until we get the ultrasound sometime next week. They said that if it wouldn't have been caught till he was two he would have to have major surgery and possible would walk with a limp for the rest of his life but because we caught it so early that everything would be okay. I can't wait to know more of what is going on so we will keep you updated on that.

Cameron's Blessing Day

We blessed Cameron on May 17th 2009. No it wasn't fast Sunday but it was the only day that my parents could come. This also happened to be Ryan's 4th birthday so it worked out well because all of the family was in town so we had a pretty big party. It was so nice to have all of our family in town. Blaine's sister and her family drove down from Flagstaff and I had my parents fly in as well as family that came in from Maricopa so we pretty much kicked everyone out of there normal seats in the chapel. I think in the end we ended up with 5 row or so. I guess that is what happens when you have a huge family. Here are some pics from the day. You will notice that Ryan wasn't in any because he was having a very bad day. He was so tired from his party he slept all through sacrament meeting and didn't get into a better mood until after we got home and changed. I am going to get Cameron's pictures done next week so I will post that as soon as I get them back. This is just some of the men that stood in the circle. I think we are missing two that couldn't be there for the picture.

Blaine and Cameron you can defiantly tell that these two are related.

I finally have a picture of me and Cameron I am never in them because I am always taking them.

Ryans B-day Party & Nana & Papa Birds Visit

Some more of Ryan's b-day party pictures.

Some fun pictures of Ryan and Nana and Papa Bird.
We tried to get a picture of the boys with my dad the last time he was in town but Ryan wouldn't have it. This time my dad tricked him. Ryan said that he wanted to read stories and my dad told him to come and sit on his other leg that was just for Ryan that seemed to go over better.

Papa Bird and Ryan playing catch.

Nana Papa and Ryan doing the bed time routine of reading Big Green Monster book.

Birthday Weekend

Sorry this is so late it seems after the crazy week and weekend last week I am still tying to get back into the swing of things. my parents flew in from PA for Cameron's baby blessing and the nice thing is it just so happened to be Ryan's 4th birthday as well. We had Ryan's party on Saturday since his real b-day was Sunday. We got a race car blow up bouncer.

I looked at getting one last year but they were like $200.00 so that was out. When I got online to see how much they where I found one place that if you went and picked it up you could have it for 24 hours and it was only $79.00. Let me tell you it was worth it . All of the kids loved it!!!!(and they all slept really good that night to) Of course it was the hottest day of the year so far but they still had a lot of fun. We used my in laws front yard since we don't have one and set up tables and chairs under the car port along with some fans and one heavy duty fan from Blaine's office.

After bouncing for a while we convinced the kids to come and open gifts.

My Crazy Day

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Today is going to be just a crazy as every other day. My parents are flying in tonight so I have been going crazy trying to get our house cleaned up and getting things ready for them. They are only here till Monday afternoon so it will be a quick trip. We are blessing Cameron on Sunday that is why they are coming but it works out because Ryan's 4th birthday is on Sunday and we are having his party tomorrow. So it will be a very full weekend. We are renting a bouncer for the kids tomorrow with good food. Right now I am off to take snack to Ryan's class for his b-day then off to Sams Club to get food for Sunday. Then off to do the rest of my shopping, dinner with grandparents then off to the airport around 9:00pm to get my parents.
Lets see how we get though the day. Wish me luck:)

Baby Cameron Pics

The other day I was giving Cameron a bath and Ryan wanted to take his picture. Ryan is a good little photographer. Look at that round belly and huge cheeks no one can say that we don't feed him.

This is Cameron jut a few minuets ago. He loves to sleep like this the more spread out he can be the happier he is. This is one baby that you can't swaddle.

The Dentist

Last week we took Ryan to the Dentist for the first time. He will be 4 next weekend and his insurance company kept calling me asking if I had taken him in yet so I finally did it. We found a pediatric dentist and will knock him out if we need him to and he works with special needs kids. This visit he just counted Ryan's teeth and that was it. Ryan did really good at fist we kept telling him that the dentist was going to look in his mouth. He sat in the chair and we got this really good picture of him.

If only this was they way the rest of the appointment went. He stayed in the chair when the Doctor came into talk to us but then he started to lay the chair back then everything fell apart. So Ryan sat in my lap as the doctor looked at him. We are good for the next 6 months thank goodness.

My Peaceful House

At this particular moment my house is very quite. Blaine had to take another furlough day today which has worked out because he isn't feeling very good anyway. I took Ryan to therapy today and was able to leave Cameron home with Blaine so that made life a little easier for me. After we got home I have been trying to get things done that have been piling up for the past few months. Like calling to make Dr's appts, calling insurance companies and different stuff like that. Ryan and Blaine were downstairs playing the Wii, but Blaine came upstairs with Cameron and now this is what they are doing.
I still heard Ryan downstairs playing bowling until about 5 minuets ago I walked downstairs to find this.Oh happy day at least for a few minuets.
I don't get why the mom can't take a nap. I guess I could but the only other place to sleep would be in Ryan's bed and his mattress isn't what you would call comfortable.
