Bowling

So this post is a little late but better late than never and it will be fun because there are a lot of pictures. My dad was able to come and visit for 4 days at the beginning of December becasue he had a business trip and we weren't that far out of the way. I love it when it works out like that. So back to the story my grandpa who is 81 has a Wii at his house and Ryan loves to play it. His favorite game is bowling and he is very good at it. So we thought that we would all go bowling Friday afternnon while my dad was in town.

We got Ryan a 6 pound ball and he did really great. We went to the bowling ally in Gilbert it is new this year and we love it. They have it so you can set up the bumpers will come up automaticly for whoever you want them for. So Ryan was the only one that had bumpers.

Twins daddy and Ryan. Daddy did such a great job showing Ryan how to bowl.

Going for another STRIKE!!!

He did it and is so proud of himself

Ryan and Grandma Bird waiting for Ryan's turn
Ryan watching to see if daddy scored

Going for another strike

I don't know where he got the hands on the hips thing must have been from me but he does it all the time if he is waiting for something and it makes me laugh.

I love to go bowling eventhough I am not very good at it. Well needless to say since I have a belly in my way I didn't do very good. My 3 1/2 year old beat me. By the end of the 1st game my back was so bad I was just going up to the lane and dropping the ball. So I didn't play the other two games. I am looking forward to going and playing again after the baby comes.

Good idea daddy ever since we have been bowling Ryan has been asking to go anytime we get in the car to go somewhere "mom we go bowling?"

Thanks for coming and playing with us papa we can't wait until the baby comes so you can come back.

Not doing good with blogging

I have been so tired lately it has been hard for me to do anything including blogging. I have been having a lot of contractions and they are not little wimpy ones they are strong. Nothing to regular though so they are not to worried yet. This same thing happened with Ryan and they put me on meds to stop them. For now they told me to try and stay down as much as possible with it being the holidays and having a 3 year old child to take care of. I am so lucky because Ryan had school till Thursday and now he is out till Jan 3rd, so this will be interesting.
Blaine is getting ready to leave tomorrow to drive to Austin for work and then turn around and drive back. 13 hours there 13 hours back with really no stopping. I was going to go with him and team drive it with him but I can't so his brother Danny is going. So they will switch off sleeping and drive straight through. They will leave tomorrow(Sunday) night around 7pm and will be home sometime late Monday night.
I am really trying to get my Christmas cards done and out and that is taking longer than I thought so sorry hopefully you will get them by New Years. I have a lot of pictures to post from when my dad was hear last as well as some other cute ones so I hope do do that on Monday and Tuesday so stay tuned.

Family Pictures Take 1

So today we tried to have our family pictures taken. We haven't done it in two years so I thought that I would try to get something done so I can sent out Christmas cards. The last time we tried to have someone take our pictures Ryan didn't go for it. In other words it was a screaming disaster. So I thought well maybe we could get Baline's dad to take some for us. We would go down to the Temple and since Ryan likes papa that things would be okay. I have to say I was impressed Ryan did do pretty well considering. We had to go fast to get it done before he was done but that was okay. So afterwards we took Gary's film to Sam's to get it put on CD. I thought for sure that we had something that turned out good. We did however Gary's film had gone bad so there is a black shadow on most of our pictures. Bummer. I was able to doctor one up so I can do a Christmas card and that is what I wanted. So my thinking is we will try again after the baby comes. That will be nicer anyway so we can have the entire family in the picture and then I won't be as miserable as well. We will hope by then that Ryan will feel comfortable enough that he won't freak out. I do really like some of the pictures that we did today. The big one at the top is the one I am using for my Christmas cards and needless to say they will be late as always but we are ones that stick to the tradition of after Christmas cards.

GREAT NEW STORE

The news RIBBONS & LACE is now open. They have opened an new store in Chandler. It is so cute you have to go and check it out. It has everything that the store in Mesa does plus fun new classes. The new store is located at 1175 E Ray Rd. One block west of Alma School. If you know where the Skateland in Chandler is you know where the new store is because they are in the same parking lot. I will have some fun pics of the cool stuff you can make so make sure to check back next week.

I have been a lot more emotional today than I thought I would be. I am very happy that my husband is in town and is hear to comfort me. The Dr. said that everything is looking great. I have gained more weight( and for me this is a good thing) and the baby is growing great I have one more 4 week appointment on January 9th then we start the every two week visits. So I am excited for this month to end so I can get my ultrasound next month. I am so great full that everything is going better. Thank you for all who have been giving us such great support and always asking how things are going. We will keep you updated with the latest when we know it.

BLAINE SAYS DO NOT POST

However I am the boss so I am posting. I got this great idea from my friend Koe when she made her husband do this. Yes we went and got pedicures. You better believe it and I really really enjoyed it.

Blaine on the other hand as you can see did not appreciate my great gesture of having someone touch his feet.
So how did I get him here do you ask that is a good story. My dad flew into town and Ryan didn't want us to stay with him and papa he kept kicking us out of the room so we thought that we would take advantage of this and go out for a little while. So I had taken my wedding ring into Jared's to get cleaned and inspected so I had to go and pick it up. So I told him that I was going to drive and that I wasn't going to tell him where we where going. So we left Jared's and I got to the light on Val Vista and Baseline and was trying to decide if I was going to turn on Baseline or go south more. As soon as I said that Blaine knew what the surprise was. I think if we where closer to home that he would have gotten out of the car and walked home. The good thing was I had his car keys as well so he couldn't get away.
After we finished we went to Culvers so Blaine could get a big fat hamburger and feel more more like a man again. Thank honey for coming with me and making your big fat wife feel good.

Ryan's Long Day

Yesterday Ryan had a pretty full day. We went to take Summer some fun birthday stuff out to the new Ribbons and Lace store in Chandler. Blaine was out delivering stuff to post offices again and said that he was going to drive right by there so did we want to go for a ride with him. Ryan loves riding in the big truck( Blaine drives a 26ft truck when he delivers stuff) so we didn't have anywhere to be until 3 so we went to Phx post office to get supplies with Blaine. After that went to lunch and then it was time for OT. After therapy we went to Gma& gpa Birds house so he could go bowling. After playing the Wii for about 2 hours we decided it was time to go home. We got to our street and I turned down and asked Ry" are we almost home?" no answer. So I looked in my rear view mirror and saw this and thought CRAP.(it's 5:00pm)
Thank goodness Blaine was home so he was able to come out and carry him in the house. I don't know what I would have done if he wasn't home becasue I can't lift him especially out of the car.
