New Blog

I have started a new blog for our family. I am turning my old blog into a book and that is two years of stuff. I was just going to delete old postings and then we would be good but I got so far behind in making the book I don't want to delete anything till the book is done and in my hands. I have decided that for next years book I would make it a little better on myself and start with pretty much one year so it is not so overwhelming. I hope you all want to keep fallowing our family as of right now I am not going private so just switch our address to.

Trains Trains and more Trains

This year a lady that I work with asked me if we where going to the trains this year? I had no idea what she is talking about so we got to talking and there is a guy in our stake that does this train thing every year where he lets people come and look at his model train set. We knew of this family because we where in singles ward with his daughter and they own Tia Rosa's Mexican Restaurant here in Mesa. I found out a little more about his trains and come to find out he has the third largest train set up in the nation. By the time I found out about it there where only two Saturdays left when he was doing it. I asked my mother in law about it and if she knew anything and she said not really but remembered reading something about it in the paper. That night Blaine and I needed to run around and do some last minuet stuff so Ryan stayed with Gma Matthews and some of his cousins where there so my MIL decided to take the kids to the trains. I said that we would go next week because my family was going to be coming down so we thought it would be a fun free thing to do with them.(they didn't end up coming but that's okay.) Ryan went and wouldn't stop talking about the trains and the next night kept asking us when we could go and see them again so we told him on Saturday. We took my Gparents with us and Ryan was basically running to go and see them. Since we hadn't been there he knew where everything was and it was hard keeping up with him.
Blaine and I where in singles ward with one of these guys daughters and this house is right next to the church building and is quite large so I figured that his back yard had a huge pool and everything we are in AZ you know. Nope no pool only Trains. He has an entire garage just to store his trains and be the depot for them.
Everywhere you looked there was trains. The guy was even in his shop getting ready to send another one out it was really neat to see how he gets them ready to go.
One of the trains coming around a bend. Ryan was in heaven with all of these trains.
He even has a train crash set up. You don't see them crash but you can see one coming. This will defiantly become part of our Christmas tradition.

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

The 1st weekend in December so a last weekend I really wanted to go and get a Tree. The nice thing is Blaine and I still have to have a real tree so usually we make it down to Home Depot to get a tree.
This year Blaine said that he got a coupon for Moon Vally Nursery so we went and looked there first. I totally love that place now. They had there trees so nicely displayed so you could see all of them and how full they where. We looked at a few and found our perfect one. Cameron was still trying to get over being sick but we took him out when it was nice and warm to get our tree and then we went straight home I promise.

Ryan at first didn't want to help set up the tree but once we started going he was happy to help. Blaine puts up the lights and then I decorate it. I hate doing the lights and he hates doing the decorating so we have it worked out.

The after picture soon to come I forgot to take one.

Mr Cameron

Cameron is doing A LOT better. He is drinking and eating (or lack there of) the same way he was before he got sick. I think he has likely gained all three pounds that he lost back. From almost being in the hospital. syringe feeding for a day or so breathing treatments every 4 hours and two injections of Rocephin we are doing better.

Blaine getting ready to give Cameron his breathing treatment. Cameron is thrilled can't you tell.

Cameron saying cheese for the camera

Look at all of his teeth.

Colorado part 2

Sorry this is backwards so read Colorado part 1 st.

Thanksgiving was a nice warm 75 degree day. My parents bought 65.5 or so acres in Colorado so they have gotten some toys (work vehicles) for there new future farm. Ryan has seen quads and said that he was going to ride them. When he heard how loud they where he really didn't want to but I really didn't care. The next big task was to get him to ware a helmet. He has one for his bike at home but I can't get him to ware it. But somehow I got him to put it on.
It was funny because once we started going he thought that it was great and he kept telling me "mommy go faster".Cameron and Nana (sorry Nana I thought that you were looking at the camera we will get a better one next time)

I love this picture. Two of my brothers Jacob & Matt and Lindsey & Eric what a technology savvy family are we. I love this picture of Cameron and Ryan. Cameron loves his big brother and Ryan is starting to get use to him. I was taking pictures of Cameron and Ryan came and sat by him and said "mom get a picture of me and Cameron". This is a HUGE deal because Ryan usually doesn't want anything to do with Cam.

Perfect Christmas card picture
This is Ryan and my dad or who Ryan calls Papa airplane (my dad use to travel a lot and Ry knew that the only way papa Bird would come was on the airplane)Cameron's 1st Thanksgiving
My dang kid and his Thanksgiving dinner yep that's right that is a hot dog.
Cameron on the other hand had the right idea with the turkey bone. Sorry for the eyes he didn't like the flash.
Ryan LOVED the big bathtub in Nana & Papa's bathroom he loved that it makes bubblesFor Black Friday we spent part of the morning in the ER with Cameron. He had a horrible cough and fever and wasn't happy come to find out he had an ear infection.(the pneumonia didn't come till after we got home)My dad with Cameron. Blaine wasn't happy that they put him in a pink gown I did tell him that it does have dinosaurs on it. For some reason he didn't care because it was still pink.

Ryan showing dad how to ride the quad
Ryan's favorite thing to do on the quad is to ride thought he stream that goes through my parents property.Ryan and NanaEven though Cameron was really sick he still tried to be happy.

Colorado 2009 part 1

WARNING: Picture overload
This Thanksgiving our family was in two different places. My parents just moved from the east coast to Colorado. We are so excited to have them only 9 hours away instead of a long plane ride or a few day drive away.

Ryan waiting at the airport to get on our plane. He is just a little excited and really enjoyed his $10.00 personal pan pizza. (that is what is all over his face)

This year Thanksgiving fell over Clipper weekend so that means Blaine had to work the day after Thanksgiving so the boys and I flew to Colorado on Tuesday before the big Turkey day so we could spend some time with everyone.Cameron waiting for our plane to get here

Blaine had to work Friday and then afterward he would start the drive to come up to Colorado and then we would all drive home on Monday.
The three of us on the plane. (great pic I know) this is also Cameron's 1st plane ride. (don't recommend flying with a teething ear infection (that we didn't know about 8 month old)

We got to Colorado and the temp in the car said 32. I had just come from 70 degree weather. When we fly we always do flip flops because it is way easier to get though security. We walked out of the airport and there was snow on the ground and everyone was looking at us like we where crazy. I just said that we are from Arizona and they seemed to understand. (yes I did put them away as soon as we got to the house and broke out the tennis shoes the rest of the trip)Cameron waiting for us to get back from Bishop's Castle. He was not a happy camper
This is Bishops Castle. This guy just builds it for fun it has a moat and a dungeon and everything that a castle has. He has done all the rock and rod iron work on his own this is his hobby. If you ever get a chance to go it is amazing.
Ryan on the first level of the Castle. It was like 15 degrees colder up there than at my parents house. We didn't go any higher but Ryan wanted to.One of the towers at the castleThis is the most snow Ryan has seen at one time. He said that it is really cold:)Ryan and Mom at the CastleThis is from the top of one of the towers I had my bro take it up and get a picture because I stayed with Ryan. Next time I do I will go to the top. This is the HUGE chair that he made and Ryan had to sit in it. I was pretty hard for him to get up in since it 7 feet high. This is my sisters Lindsey's boyfriend Eric and if you have ever seen Man vs. Food I think Eric can take Adam. After bishops castle we went to the Mexican food place that was really good. Eric and some of my brothers ordered a "Slopper" this thing is huge!! You can't tell but under all of this is a burger, fries and anything else you can think of.

Pneumonia

Cameron has pneumonia. We went back to the Dr again today for another antibiotic injection. We have to give him breathing treatments every 4 hours and as long as we can keep him drinking and his breathing stays good we don't have to be in the hospital. Depending on how the night goes we may have to go back in for more meds tomorrow. He did good last night and stayed at his weight. He had lost 6 oz in two days so they where really worried about him getting to dehydrated. We are up to eating 2 oz at a time again so that is nice for a kid who eats about 8oz at every feeding down to one and that is pulling teeth we are doing good. Hopefully he will continue to do better and beat this thing sooner rather than later.

Sorry

I am sorry that I haven't been posting lately. I have a lot of cute fun stuff to add however Cameron has been sick for about a month now and the past few days it has gotten a lot worse. We are trying to get fluids down him at the moment otherwise they are going to admit him into the hospital. If the fluids not going down isn't enough we are also having to give him breathing treatments now every 4 hours so we are having to keep an eye on that. I am asking for you to pray for my little man that he will get back to his happy little self and that he can start to sleep agian so that his poor mom and dad can sleep. Wish us luck tonight we have Ryan spending the night at his Gma & Gpa Matthews so if we have to go to the ER tonight we won't have to wake him up.

The Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk -or - Treat went a lot better this year. Once agian I had to put Ryan in his costume kicking and screaming but once agian I didn't care he was going to dress up. I fixed Cameron's costume so it would fit around his fat face. The costume was a 12m costume and his little Yoda hat wouldn't latch shut so I had to put an extra piece of ribbon on it so it would close. He was such a cute little fat Yoda.

We went to Gma & Gpa Matthews house and then Ryan rode his scooter over to the church for the trunk-or-treat. Ryan really didn't care about going around to all the cars to get candy he just wanted to ride his scooter but he made Blaine carry his pumpkin so he could get candy. Ryan wouldn't say Tick-or -Treat but at least he wasn't screaming his head off so we will try the talking thing next year. Cameron had his own little pumpkin and even got a little bit of candy. After we went around the parking lot Ryan just wanted to be left alone to ride his scooter over the speed bumps. I wanted to get a picture of the boys together but that never happens but I wa able to get this one of Ryan pushing Cameron over the speed bumps.

Cameron did so good even though it was past his bedtime. I told Blaine that next year we are all dressing up and we will see it that helps Ryan want to dress up.

School Costume Parade

This Halloween I was super happy to get both of my boys to dress up. Last year Ryan didn't want anything to do with trick-or-treating. I think we stayed at the trunk-or-treat for about 20 minuets before we left. I took Ryan to Party City so he could pick out his costume. I thought if he picked it out that it would go over better. We got Cameron's Yoda costume then Ryan decided that he wanted to be a boxer. Well tried on the costume and it was to small. So then he decided that he wanted to be a Doctor. Fine I was good with that so we got the costumes and went home. Thursday before Halloween his school had there costume parade. Last year I totally forgot about it so not only did I miss it but also he was one of the few that didn't have a costume. I made up for it this year. Ryan didn't want to put on his costume but I didn't care we put it on kicking and screaming.

This was Ryan waiting for his bus to come. This was the only thing that would make him stop crying. After I put him on the bus then I took Cameron our to my grandparents house so that I could go to Ryan's school to see the parade. That was going to be interesting because anytime we try to go to his school for an activity or b-day as soon as Blaine or I show up he breaks down. So I was wondering ow this was going to work. I had been telling him all week that I was going to come to his school and he was saying that it was okay. I got to the school and I his class wasn't out yet so I went to his classroom and walked out with them and he just held my hand and didn't freak out. The funny thing was that it was part of the cold days that we had so the high was 68 and for us that is cold. He wouldn't take off his jacket because he didn't want anyone to know that he was a Doctor.

This is Ryan's class picture. He wasn't happy about it but we still got one.

Ryan loves to take pictures so he took one of me and one of the aids in his class room that has been with him for the past 3 years. He loves Ms. Irene

Then it was his classes turn to do the parade. He really didn't want to go without me but another aid came and got him and they walked around the circle so they could show off there costumes. Granted you couldn't see what Ry was because he wouldn't take off his jacket and then he didn't want anyone to see him so he covered his eyes so no one could see him so he thought.
