Thanksgiving 2008

We had two thanksgiving dinners. Dinner #1 11:30 at my grandparents house then 5ish at Blaine's parents house. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of pictures taken this year. I did get a cute one of Ryan. We ate at my grandparents house at 11:30 after a few hours of playing the Wii. Ryan is very very good at playing Wii sports. He started out on bowling now he is so good he is getting in the 180-189 most games. Then we turned him on to baseball, he is getting better at the batting but he is really good on the pitching. So we did that then they rode bikes.(meaning that gpa rode his scooter and Ryan rode his bike) so by 2 Ryan was as you can see.

This was a much needed nap so he was ready to go for round two at gma & papa Matthews house. We did have a good Thanksgiving with a lot of food. The only bad thing about thanksgiving this year is that I don't have a lot of extra room so I wasn't able to eat as much as I would have liked to. I guess next year when I am not pregnant I will make up for it.

Ryan's School Pitctures

Ryan had school pictures a few weeks ago and I didn't think that it was going to go well. You see when ever we take him to get his picture taken or when someone would come to our house he totally freaks out screaming bloody murder. So I told his teacher good luck. She wrote me a note after school and said that Ryan did a great job. She said that he started to do the crying and stuff then she stood in front of the camera and told Ryan that they didn't want to take a picture of him they wanted to take a picture of her. So she started dancing and making funny faces then moved out behind the photographer and this is what we got. I was SOOOOOOO excited so I really want to get a family picture more than ever now. I am hoping to get one taken within the next few weeks.
This is more of what I expected Ryan to look like. Ryan is sitting on Ms. Kimmi she is one of the aids he has been with her for the last two years and loves her. His teacher Ms. Vanessa is the one with the brown spiky hair. He really loves her two. Thank you to all his teachers he loves coming to school and playing with the trains. It is so fun to see how well he is doing.

School Carnival

Today was Ryans Fall Carnival at school. I helped out with one of the booths and it was really cute because Ryan didn't know that I was there until his class came o my booth and then it took him till the end to notice me. Story behind this. Last year when Blaine and I went to Ryans school he totally freaked out screaming and crying. So I don't go to his school. So today at the carnival Blaine was going to try to come out and he did about an hour late but he still got to do stuff with Ryan. I was in charge of the Hay scooter maze race. They had hay bails set up and little platforms with wheels on them that the kids sat on and went thought the path. So I kept watching Ryans class from across the field and saw him doing some fun stuff. Can I tell you that he even got his face painted. I thought for sure there was no way he is going to do it. I didn't realize it until he came to my booth and saw a baseball on the side of his face I was so excited. Ryan didn't even notice me until he got all the way through the race track.

So I haven't updated in a while so thought that I better get on the ball and do it. Sorry some of the picturesare a little old but better late than never. Things are going good with the Matthews family. Ryan is getting bigger everytime I look at him. My belly is becoming more and more round and my Dr said everythig is looking goood and I go back and see her in about 3 weeks. Blaine and I got new phones the other day and have joined the world of texting I am so happy. Blaine likes it wether he will admit it or not.

It's A ....

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound and so far so good. She looked and didn't see any more blood pockets so that we great news. The baby is growing nice and big the baby is weighing 13 oz for this stage is on the good size. So that means we are sticking with the tradition of having 8 1/2 to 9 pound babies.
We did find out what we are having and I was right we are having a BOY

We are both happy about having a boy even though we wanted a girl. I look at it as our plan will work because when Blaine and I got married we said that we wanted to have a boy then girl then boy then girl. So far so good we had a boy first then we had our little Emily now we are having our Cameron so next on should be a girl. Blaine said that we had to wait until this baby is 2 1/2 to start trying again. Blaine was hoping for a girl so that I would take a break. I knew it was a boy for a while I carry boys lower and this baby is really low. WE are so excited to add another boy to our clan. We came home and told Ryan that he was going to have a baby brother and he was happy. We will see how long that lasts.

Halloween 2008

This Halloween we really struggled on what Ryan should be for Halloween. I told Blaine that I was going to order him a OR Duck football shirt and that he would go as a football player. That didn't go over well. Ryan doesn't' usually do well on Halloween becasue of all the people and he doesn't like to put dress up stuff on so we decided to make him a handy man. Every time Blaine gets a hammer out Ryan goes and finds his hammer as well. They both only where painters pocket shorts or pants so he puts the hammer in the little loop part. So we got Ryan a new tool kit with lots of cool stuff and even a tool belt. Well that didn't go over very well so we decided since he will where the hat and put the hammer in his pocket good enough. That day Blaine had his monlty Clipper deliveries and was going to be in his brother Natan's area and Nathan needed to move all his stuff out of his appartemtn back to this side of the valley so they decided just to do it at one time since we had use of a free to us truck. When they got to their parents house Ryan just wanted to ride in the truck.Usually when Blaine does his deliveries we go meet him on Saturday for his last run and we go for a ride with him. It is the highlight of Ryan's month he loves rididng in daddys big truck. We tired to convince him to go and get a hot dog at the chuch and get candy however he didn't want anything to do with it he wanted the truck. So we took him to the church kicking and screaming.
Blaine was in charge of the bean bag toss but we decided to take Ryan around to get candy first. He didn't want to where his hat at all but he did have his hammer. After we got some candy we went to do the bean bag toss for a little while. Ryan thought that was fun and he was doing a really great job of throwing the bags and he was actually making it and from far away. We have a pitcher on our hands. About 25 min after we started the bean bag toss Ryan was done so we made or sneaky exit.
We still had to take daddys big truck back to his office and get our truck so Ryan got his wish of ridding in the big truck. This is the biggest smile he had all night. After we got our truck we decided that we were hungry so we went out to eat to our favoirte Texas Roadhouse and for a friday night we walked right in it was so nice. Over all it was a good halloween night we got a little bit of candy that RYan has forgot about and my husband didn't buy any and that is the big shock.

My Dad's Visit

I have a couple things we need to update. A few week ago my dad came down for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. He flew in on Saturday afternoon and flew out Sunday afternoon. One good thing is that we where able to go Saturday night to the ASU vs Ducks game. Living and growing up in Oregon we are a duck fans. My dad was even able to play his high school championship game on their field. So needless to say my husband is a hometown fan (I usually am to but not that weekend). So my dad bought really good seats like lower level 50 yard line seats. We got four tickets so Blaine, and his dad nd my dad and I all went to the game. We didn't take Ryan to the game because we thought that it would be to much for him so we tried to do other stuff with him first.

He would rather get a "Ball" than go and see the animals and stuff like that

We took him to Mother Natures Farm in Gilbert. Not really sure how he was going to handle that we went to the farm with a pretty tired boy. He really liked the bouncer so we did that for a while. Then they had a little kids maze and he wasn't sure that he was going to go for that but he liked that but he liked going through the exit and getting in everyones way. Then he didn't want to leave. We got our pumpkin and left.

I love how they had this hay stack lock your kid up thing I wish we could have one at home sometimes

Finally something that Ryan Loves to do

Getting into the runing around the maze with the big daddy monster.

We do things backwards in our family

Ryan is totally done with the entire farm thing and ready for a nap

Later that night we got ready and went to the game. My dad and I with our Duck hats and Blaine in his ASU shirt. Bad news for all you ASU fans YOU LOST BIG TIME !!!!!

The game still had the 2nd half and the stadium cleared out. We stayed to the end to take in the victory. (ha ha sorry honey) It was a lot of fun having Blaine in the seats above us yelling then two seconds later my dad was up cheering and Blaine was booing. We had a fun night although both my dad and Blaine both wished it would have been a closer game.

The next day (Sunday) my dad had to leave. We took my dad to the airport and Ryan thought that he was going to. We went so my dad could check his bag and Ryan took his laptop rolling bag and started walking around the airport. Then when we got upstairs Ryan was getting ready to walk down the 1st class skip the line part of security he was not to happy when told him he wasn't going on the airplane that he was going to stay here. He was really sad but we talked him into going to the other window to look out the window so he could see more airplanes. It is always sad to see my dad go becasue I am never quite sure when we will get to see him again. The good news is he said that he was going to try and come for a few more days the 1st part of December. So that made it easier to not cry so much this time when he left.
