Cameron's Three Week Pics

When Ryan was a baby I got his pictures taken at Target. It was $8.99 for a package and so when we had Cameron I wanted to get his pictures done at about the same age. Ryan's were at two weeks and I was a week later with Cameron's but they got done. I tried to see if Ryan would be in some with Cameron but the little room with all the lights and stuff in it freaked Ryan out so we will have to wait on those.

Cameron Ray Matthews @ 3 Weeks

Cameron did really good he was awake for all of his where Ryan slept through his. People keep asking if Cameron looks like Ryan did Here are the pictures you decide.

I had a layout like this one for Ryan with the same poses Ryan's only had spots for three pictures and that is what I wanted but they got rid of that layout two weeks before I got Cameron's taken.

Cameron is a 1 Month Old

Today our little or not so little baby is one month old. I took him for his check up and the Doctor said that he is the size of an average 2 month old.
One month stats:
Weighs 11 pounds 11 ounces
23 1/2" long so he is in the 90% for weight and off the charts for his height.

At birth was
9 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 1/2" long

We have overachievers for children.

Fishing Continued

Blaine and Ryan at it again fish #3. Too bad we don't eat themGood size fish RyanWalking back to camp Ryan liked to walk in the snow drifts. We camp on the reservation at horseshoe up by Sunrise ski resort area. They said it wouldn't have been that cold if the wind wasn't so bad. Seeing the snow in the campground really made me glad Cameron and I stayed home for this one.

Fishing

I called Blaine last night before Ryan went to bed to say goodnight. Ryan was so excited to sleep in Papa's trailer.
Ryan' s night : went to bed around 9ish after Jenny and Nate got to camp. Ry woke up a few times in the night and went right back to sleep. Blaine got woken up at 6:30 this morning to.
R: "Daddy lets go fishing"
B: "It's to early"
R: " Dad go outside"
B: " We have to get dressed first" ( thinking that Ry wouldn't want to get dressed)
R: "okay daddy lets get dressed"
That was the end of trying to go back to sleep. After they where dressed they headed down to the lake for a while then went back up for breakfast. After a few helpings of eggs and pancakes it was back down to the lake. I am very glad I didn't go right now because Blaine said that there are still a few snow drifts around the lake and the wind is really bad. Ryan has been using his little fishing pole with his plastic fish attached to it and has been doing really good casting it out and stuff. Blaine sent me this picture a few minuets ago.Blaine caught this fish and Ryan wanted to see it. He really wanted to touch it but this is as close as Blaine would let him get. So next time Blaine gets one on the line he is going to let Ryan real it in. Blaine said that after he got the fish off the hook and threw it back that Ryan pushed him out of the way and said "Move it daddy this is my spot!" They are having a blast even with all the wind.

Camping

Today I sent the boys off camping. This is the first time since Blaine and I started dating that I haven't gone with them camping. You have to understand out idea of Camping. We take my father in laws travel trailer that has heat bunk beds a queen bed and we do go fishing however none of us like fish so we catch and release. Ryan has his own fishing pole that has a fish already attached to it when he is done with that he will just start to throw rocks in the lake. After lunch we go and watch a movie in the trailer while most of us take a nap then get ready to go back out to fish for a while then we put the potatoes in the oven and get ready to eat our stake dinner Saturday night. Usually Blaine's dad and a few of his brothers go camping along with our little family. Usually I am the only girl there. This time my bro in law Nathan is married so I wouldn't of been the only one. Yes I realize that you are wondering why I wouldn't go camping since Cameron is 4 weeks old and when Ryan was 4 weeks old we took him to lake Powell for a week, well this weekend I have a YW/YM fundraiser dinner as well as having Choir practice on Sunday that I need to be at so I didn't go camping.
Blaine and Ryan drove up with his dad in his truck and picked Ryan up from school and went up north. This is the 1st picture that I got this afternoon of Ryan having fun.

New Baby in the Family

We are so excited for my sister in law Shelley and her husband Robert. They had a baby boy last night. They have been trying for a long time to get this baby and he is finally here. Cameron and his new cousin are about three weeks apart so they should be good buds. As of this post we haven't heard if he has a name yet. Shelley had a c-section last night and Baby boy Fletcher was born. Congratulations Robert and Shelley we can't wait to see him.

Happy Birthday Babe

Tuesday April 7th was my husbands birthday. Unfortunately we really didn't get to do anything fun to celebrate. For the past few months Blaine drives to Tucson every Tuesday night to deliver a newspaper. He usually goes to the Tribune around 6ish drives to Tucson then gets home around 1ish in the morning. Thank goodness things where done on time so he was able to leave and get home at a reasonable hour. We wanted to go out to eat or something but it didn't work. Most people would try dinner another night like the weekend. Blaine left at 5am on Thursday to drive to Austin Tx for work and didn't get home Wednesday night till 6:30 and I was suppose to be at mutual at 6:30. So the week of his birthday was very busy. Even though he was out of town most of the week the boys and I did manage to give him a new PlayStation 2 on his birthday. He had one but used it so much it doesn't work. In the Sunday adds I saw that Target had one on sale so we went and got it at least he got a good gift.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. I tried to get somewhat matching outfits for the boys and Ryan was actually excited to put on his tie. I was kind of shocked but happy. I got Blaine a new tie Ryan a new shirt and Tie and the got Cameron a cute little outfit and they all had blue and green in them so I thought that was good enough for going shopping the Friday before Easter. I even found something new for me so I was happy. Easter was good for us I went to choir for the first time in months since I wasn't pregnant anymore and was able to participate in the program at church. I was called by a member of our bishopric to see if I could meet with him before church started and was released from my calling in young women's. I was a little surprised but had a feeling that it was coming. I am now the new Choir director. I am excited scared and sad all at the same time. I have been in Young Women's for about a year and a half. I have to admit when I was first called to be the Secretary in Young Women's I was terrified. Growing up I really looked to my Young Women leaders and they did so much for me. I was so afraid that I wasn't good enough for these girls. I have learned so much from my calling. Not the secretary part that part is easy you keep track of the calender and who is there every Sunday. I have learned so much from the girls in our ward. I thought it was hard when I was a teenager but I think it was a cake walk for me. I will miss being in Young Woman's but I know that it is not my choice. I am excited and scared to death to be choir director again. For one it has been four years since I have done it and two I am very intimidated by all the talent that is in our ward.Enough about that for now, after Church we went to Blaine's parents house for dinner and our normal Easter egg hunt. The kids made out really well. I think Ryan got more candy for Easter than he did for Halloween.

More Fun Pictures

Mr Fix It
Papa and Nana Bird bought us a new stroller since I have gotten rid of ours because Ryan has turned into Mr. Independent. I have really liked it. It is the kind that you can just snap you infant carrier on till he gets a little older than I will get a little bigger one. So Ryan and Daddy had to put it together. Ryan ran upstairs to his room to get his hammer so he could help daddy they did such a great job.

Ryan took every chance he could to take pictures of anyone and anything. We had I think about 100 of his car carpet but some that he took actually turned out good. This is one of my dad that Ryan was very proud of.

Ryan also likes it when people take pictures of him so this was one that is super cute I think. But I'm the mom so I think they are all cute.Big Brother Ryan
this is one of two pictures that we have of Ryan holding baby Cameron. We wanted to give him a picture that he could take to school to show his teachers but that was the last time he has held him. Ryan will give him a kiss at night before bed but other than that he doesn't want anything to do with him. Ryan has started to act out a little saying that he's a baby and then proceeds to cry even thought he isn't really crying. Hopefully now that things are getting back to normal and we are getting our schedule back he will get a little better.Cute brothers
Tying to get a picture with both boys was very difficult. This was my dads last day and we where getting ready to take him to the airport the plan was to get a picture with my dad and the boys but Ryan had a break down so that didn't happen. I wanted to get a picture with my dad and Cameron so when Ryan asked if he could take it we said yes he could take one picture after that my dad grabbed Ryan and he was okay with that because my dad wasn't holding the baby any more. We had two different cameras going at once that is why we are not all looking the same way.
This one was the good one of Ryan looking at the camera. I will have to ask my dad and see if the ones one his camera turned out any better.PJ Day at School
Tuesday was read across America day and Ryan's class decided that they where having a PJ day. Ryan was very excited I had gotten him a cool new pair of jamas but he wanted his dump truck jamas.

Cameron

Cameron at One Week Old

At birth Cameron was 9lbs 2oz ad 21 1/2" long. We were released from the hospital on Saturday and he had gained an ounce. The nurse couldn't believe it since most babies loose weight after birth. Monday we went to our first Doctors appointment and he weighed 8 lbs 15oz and 22 inches long. Lost some weight but gained length.

At one week Cameron is now 9lbs 5oz and 22"long. Crazy big kid. We don't fit in our newborn outfits anymore we are in 0-3months and some of those are fitting a little tight.
He is now eating 3-4oz every 3 or so hours. At night he is a good sleeper his normal schedule is awake around 11:30 for a while. Back to sleep around 12:30ish then will wake up around four to eat again till we do it again around 6ish. So I can't complain to bad he is a good baby.

A little behind

Yes I am a little okay a lot behind on my postings. My dad was here last week for a few days and we where doing a lot of stuff with him. I told everyone there would be pictures so here they are.

Papa Bird with his sleeping grandsons. Ryan kept saying "I Not Tired"

Cameron's 1st bath

Ryan loves to take pictures so while I was giving Cameron a bath Ryan was my little photographer and he actually did pretty good. Ryan took his great picture of Cameron and Papa. It was early in the morning as you can tell by papa's hair.

new pics

Sorry that I haven't posted more we have had my dad in town so I have been spending time with him. I have some cute fun pics but they are on my other computer so I will work on that later. I scanned in a couple that I can post. Ryan had spring pictures taken at school a few weeks ago. I love them even though he isn't looking at the camera they still turned out great. The other ones of him looking at the camera looked like he was mad.

This is Cameron's hospital picture. It looks better than Ryan's hospital picture but I think I need to get a better looking one for his announcements.

Visitors

We have had jammed packed fun past few days. My dad came into town on Thursday. Ryan was able to go to the airport to pick him up and he thought that was the greatest thing ever. We had a surprise visitor come and see us as well. Blaine's sister from Flagstaff came down a day earlier than we expected. We thought that she was coming on Friday but was able to come down sooner. She brought Kaylee, Madison & Kenny with her. They came over to see baby Cameron. Ryan and Kenny had a blast playing together. Ryan loves his cousin Kenny he thinks that he is so cool.

Hip Hip Hooray

I am so excited my dad is flying into town today. It has been a few months since the last time he was here. He has been on this side of the country for work and is on his way home with a stop here in Arizona. Ryan is so excited because he got to go to the airport to get him. Ryan has been asking us for the past month everyday if we could go to the airport. I wasn't feeling up to dragging two kids to the airport so my grandparents went to go and get him. We are even more excited because he gets to stay for more than two days. We are bummed that my step mom couldn't come but hopefully she can make it out soon.
Good news after my rant of the last post. I am feeling better with my boob problem. Thank you for all of the suggestions finally after five days of doing the cabbage, ice and ace bandages they are finally starting not to hurt all the time. So hopefully as long as I keep doing it we will have everything back to normal in about a week.
