School Costume Parade

This Halloween I was super happy to get both of my boys to dress up. Last year Ryan didn't want anything to do with trick-or-treating. I think we stayed at the trunk-or-treat for about 20 minuets before we left. I took Ryan to Party City so he could pick out his costume. I thought if he picked it out that it would go over better. We got Cameron's Yoda costume then Ryan decided that he wanted to be a boxer. Well tried on the costume and it was to small. So then he decided that he wanted to be a Doctor. Fine I was good with that so we got the costumes and went home. Thursday before Halloween his school had there costume parade. Last year I totally forgot about it so not only did I miss it but also he was one of the few that didn't have a costume. I made up for it this year. Ryan didn't want to put on his costume but I didn't care we put it on kicking and screaming.

This was Ryan waiting for his bus to come. This was the only thing that would make him stop crying. After I put him on the bus then I took Cameron our to my grandparents house so that I could go to Ryan's school to see the parade. That was going to be interesting because anytime we try to go to his school for an activity or b-day as soon as Blaine or I show up he breaks down. So I was wondering ow this was going to work. I had been telling him all week that I was going to come to his school and he was saying that it was okay. I got to the school and I his class wasn't out yet so I went to his classroom and walked out with them and he just held my hand and didn't freak out. The funny thing was that it was part of the cold days that we had so the high was 68 and for us that is cold. He wouldn't take off his jacket because he didn't want anyone to know that he was a Doctor.

This is Ryan's class picture. He wasn't happy about it but we still got one.

Ryan loves to take pictures so he took one of me and one of the aids in his class room that has been with him for the past 3 years. He loves Ms. Irene

Then it was his classes turn to do the parade. He really didn't want to go without me but another aid came and got him and they walked around the circle so they could show off there costumes. Granted you couldn't see what Ry was because he wouldn't take off his jacket and then he didn't want anyone to see him so he covered his eyes so no one could see him so he thought.

Schnepf Farms

My brother in law got a group together to go to Schnepf farms. We have been talking about going out there for a while now. I don't think that the night ended up the way that he had planned my little family ended up taking off from the rest of the group and I don't think we really ever ended up together again. We never know how Ryan is going to react to things so we wanted to try a few new things. They have a train there and thought that it would be really cool to take Ryan on a train ride especially since it was only $2.00. So first thing we wanted to do that so Blaine went and stood in line to get the tickets. We figured since it was a Saturday night the earlier we did it the better. Plus after 6:00 it became a spooky train ride and we knew that wasn't going to work. While Blaine and Cameron stood in line Ryan and I went and played on the bails of hay. He thought that was really cool.

Ryan loved the hay I think he would of stayed there all day if we would have let him. You could tell that the hay had been very well used because some of the sides where very steep.

Waiting in line to go on the train.

Ryan and Blaine on the Train
Mommy and Cameron on the Train
Super happy to be on the train

Bad with Blogging

I have been so bad with blogging lately I have a pretty good excuse. We have gotten the sick bug in our house the past few weeks. It started with Blaine getting sick then Ryan and Cameron both got ear infections. I ended up taking Ryan to an all night urgent care and found out that he had a double ear infection. He had tubes put in a couple of years ago so the is the first one I have had in a while.

Then after the boys where on there way up I got sick. I am finally on the mend but it has been some craziness of a week. Ryan is now getting music therapy. So we are up to OT, Speech, Music and Feeding therapy. He is doing really good with all of them but as you can guess it has been keeping me very busy.

Ryan's new thing is that he likes to swing in Cameron's swing. I don't think thatthe weight limit is for a 42 pound kid but it is his favorite thing to do. What a little stinker.

Mr. Cameron is getting so big and is becoming more of a happy baby. We have just cut our third tooth this week along with having the ear infection so yes it has been fun. (not)

Cameron's Six month stats

Weight 20 pounds 6oz

Length 33 1/4"

Yep I know what you are thinking FAT BABY!!!

he is so dang cute! He is rolling all over the place.

Ryan's Virst Trip to the ER

After 4 1/2 years we have made our first ER visit with Ryan. I thought we would have made it there before now so I think we are doing pretty good. Like I said in the last post that Ryan gets to go to Tucson with Blaine every once in a while. Well a couple of Tuesday's ago Ryan was going to go it was a normal night a normal size run and NO rain in the forecast. Everyone was happy they even stopped and got some ice cream on the way down. Life was good. They got to there 2nd and biggest stop and Ryan was helping daddy as normal. Ryan sits on the back of the truck and lowers the life gate.

Blaine has a 30ft truck with about a 4 ft lift on it so imagine the biggest moving truck you can have with out his CDL. When they pulled into Tucson it was starting to sprinkle a little so Blaine had to cover all of the pallets of newspapers when was leaving because he drops them outside. All of a sudden it started raining in sheets within about two minuets the parking lot was flooded. Ryan and Blaine hung out in the back of the truck trying to wait for the rain to trail off. It didn't happen so Blaine quickly finished his last few pallets while Ry stayed in the truck. They finished up and they where both standing on the lift. Blaine pulled the door down and Ryan didn't see what he was doing and at the same time Ry went over to start to push the button to make the lift go down so they could get going. Ryan ran into Blaine's rear and slipped on the wet lift and on his way down hit his chin on the edge. Needless to say Ryan was bleeding pretty bad because it is a head wound. Blaine called me a few times and I could hear the rain coming down. I asked him to call me when he left like I always do so I have an idea of when he will get home. I get a call saying that there has been a little accident. I am trying to keep my cool thinking he was in a car accident. He told me no Ryan got hurt. Okay so what happened? He told me what happened and I asked him if it needed stitches or if he was going to take him to urgent care in Tucson. He said since he is driving a 30ft truck and really didn't know his way around Tucson hat he got it to stop bleeding and would come home.

I was still up when they got home and they where both soaked so I got Ryan in some PJ's and took his make shift butterfly band aid off. ( Blaine's scout training came in handy) I opened up the bottom of the band aid and saw a nice size hole in his chin and said call your mm we need to take him in. Lets remember it is now 1am in the morning when they got home. Blaine's mom came over and we started for a Pediatric Urgent Care that we thought was all night. Well they closed at 11pm. So e went to another urgent care that closed at 12.

So off to the ER we go. I wanted to go to the one with the children's hospital in it so we headed off to Banner Desert. We got him all check in and they took him back.

Even at 1:45am he is still happy( Waiting in the hospital)
He did really a lot better than I thought he would. Ryan doesn't really do Doctors very good. He did really good but I think it was because he had a cute nurse. They put on this numbing gel for an hour but had to put it back on halfway though. He was such a trooper.

My Bro in Law Nathan I knew was still doing his ER rotation at the same hospital and told Blaine to text him even though we didn't think he would be there at 1:45am but I figured if we didn't that he would be there and then we would feel bad and if he wasn't there and was a sleep that he would get the text in the morning.
About a minuet later his phone beeped and guess who was working his first graveyard over in the big people ER. Yep Uncle Nathan was working so he said that he would come and visit us in a few minuets. The nice thing was he brought us some much needed drinks. Nathan stayed as long as he could but they never came in to do Ry's stitches. Well about 3 minuets after he left they came in and Nathan got busy so he couldn't come back over.

The doc looked at it and said they could get away with gluing it even thought they really should have done a single stitch but that would have required knocking him out and staying a lot longer. He said the only difference was he scar would be a little bigger. Don't all boy's/men have scar under there chin. I said glue away. It took five of us to hold him down but we got it done and then we where out the door. My cute little one is staring to get a little delirious now. We are still waiting for the numbing gel to kick in he was starting to say things that really didn't make since but it was keeping us entertained. This is after they put the glue on his nurse said that if he was a good boy he could have a Popsicle. He has just started to like them so he was okay with that. He really wanted a green one but settled for the red one. He said because there where two that he would share it with me. What a nice little boy.

Showing off his hurt chin.

The big thing they said was to make sure that he doesn't pick at it. We got out of the ER in a record setting time think we where home by 3am and we got there at 1:45 so not to bad in hospital time.

Later on the same Wednesday morning Cameron was acting up and was having a hard time going to sleep. I took Cameron into my room to try and put him down because Cameron's crying was not being handled well by Ryan. Ryan had done so good with leaving his chin a lone all day until I left the room for about 30min. I got Cameron to sleep and then came out to see half of the glue had been picked off his face. Great now what to do so I called his DR's and told them what happened wondering if I needed to take him in to get it re-glued. They said that it had been to long and they couldn't re-glue so to put a butterfly band aid over the part that he took off to pinch it back together. This worked for about a day. The next day he got up and showed us he had messed with it again and got even more off. The only good thing is that the deepest part of the cut was still glued together. By this time his chin was starting to look really red so I took him into our DR. to make sure it wasn't getting infected. She said it looked okay and they told us in the hospital that we couldn't put anything over it. I told her I wish we could cover it so he would leave it a lone. The great thing is she said that we could. She put a Donald duck band aid on it and he started to leave it alone.I decided to keep him home the rest of the week from school only two day's because I didn't think that his teachers would want to watch him from messing with it. He didn't mind the missing school but he did mind the not being able to go to gymnastics with Grandma and the girls.

This is what it looked like a couple of days ago
I am so glad that it was just his chin I could have been a lot worse.

What Ryan has been up to

This is Ryan waiting for the bus to come.

He will hate us for this when he is older. Look at what his daddy has taught him. I thought that this wouldn't happen for a few more years but Ryan wants to be just like his daddy.

The end so I guess it is now time to get off the pot.

This is Ryan sitting in the front seat in the truck on our way to Flagstaff. Cameron was crying and Ryan wasn't handling it very well so Blaine sat in the back and I drove so I wouldn't get car sick. You can tell he didn't mind switching spots.

Ryan loves to go in his dad's "Big Tuck". Blaine has to drive to Tucson every Tuesday night and every once in a while Ryan will go with him. He prays to go in the big truck every night but usually only gets to go once a month. He loves to go and work the switch that makes the lift gate go up and down. This is my cool little dude on there way down to Tucson.

It is part of there tradition to go to Mc Donald's and get a #10. Yes that is a 10 piece chicken nugget and yes he will eat the entire thing. This picture just looks like ahhhh I love my big truck. This is Ryan's newest thing. Ryan loves to get in Cameron's crib and play with his cars. I think it is so funny because he hated his crib that is why he was in his twin size by 9 months old. "Look mommy I still fit"

Another perk of going with daddy ice cream at any hour of the night.

We took Ryan to As You Wish to make a birthday b-day present for Grandma Matthews. He did really good he kept thinking it was watercolor like they do at school so he kept putting his paint brush in the water. I love love love this picture. Ryan will not go anywhere near Cameron but I told him after we went and picked up the frame that he made that we needed to take a picture of him and Cameron so we can put it in the frame and give it to Grandma. The first one I took Ryan was sitting on the arm of the couch and he asked to see it after I took it. He wasn't smiling and I asked him if he looked happy and he said no. So like a good mom I bribed him with and ice cream cone and this is the best one that we got. I am so excited.

What Cameron has been up to

This is Mr. Cameron he is now almost 5 1/2 months old. He is totally different then Ryan ever was as a baby. Cameron is very vocal and that is a good sign because Ryan was very quite unless he needed something. Cameron has started to like his little entertainment saucer and that makes his mommy very happy.
Cameron is getting more and more mobile. He is rolling all over the place he is getting up on his knees but hasn't figured out that he has to be up on his hands at the same time yet. Thank goodness I don't think I am quite ready for him to be mobile yet although I don't think it will be to much longer. Cameron is such a little trooper. Between being dragged around to Ryan's therapy appointments this is on while we are waiting for Ryan's bus to come and take him to school. Cameron likes his new stroller because he can see out and he can eat the straps.

Cameron got his outfit from Nana Bird. We took it to Flagstaff with us since I didn't think it would fit him when it got cool enough to where down here.(since it hit 104 today I think it will be a while) It is the cutest little outfit It has little bears on the knees and socks as you can see. It's a good thing that we let where it because it doesn't fit anymore. (Thanks Nana but think 12-18m size.)
My happy fat baby.

This is a very rare sight Ryan close to Cameron. Ryan doesn't like to be around Cameron very much so I was super excited when I saw him playing with Cameron's toy. I think that Ryan really just wanted to play with Cameron's new toy but oh well.

This is Cameron hanging around at Grandma Matthews house. I'm sure his dad hung in the same bouncer thing. My mother in law has all the good ol stuff but it still works so that's ok.
Blaine's cell phone can do some pretty cute stuff. My dad got Cameron this bib and we where at church a few months ago and he took this picture and sent a text to my parents saying we thought that it was super cute.
This is what Cameron looks like most of the time right now. He is cutting his top tooth so es that is tooth # 3 so Cameron has his good day's and bad days. (sorry papa Bird I still need to order a 12m duck shirt)
I love this cute Fat Baby

Cameron showing off his two very sharp teeth. Don't worry he should have another on to add to this one in about a week.

Mr. Cameron has been not so easy to get started on solid foods. Ryan took to it right away Cameron not so much. As you can tell he loves his rice cereal. He knocked the bowl out of my hand after that he loved to play in it eat it not so much.

This is the look of I told you not to give it to me mom you totally deserve what you got. (Naughty fat baby)
